The discussion’s club “Politika.lt” is organized periodically since 2005 as a united effort of the Institute of Democratic Politics and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAF) to promote non-formal political education and to stimulate the multilevel dialog between policy makers, political experts, academics on the one side and civil society on the other.

The purpose of the discussions’ club is to gather decision and opinion makers (top politicians, government officials, academic society, political experts, and the media) and to share their opinions, make suggestions for future. This club contributes to forming centre-right agenda in Lithuania, fulfil the lack of the active citizenship thinking and acting in the civil society.    

#WeAreNATO

The goal is to educate the society about the importance of ensuring sufficient  national capacities for territorial defence and to make sure that citizens are interested in  defending their country from any potential aggressor. Secondly, the goal is to highlight crucial interest for every Lithuanian, strengthen our transatlantic ties and contribute to a stronger relationship with an another NATO member in every way possible.

The purpose of this conference is to induce and strengthen a positive approach to NATO amongst the Lithuanian youth. This social group is the basis of the reviving society in Lithuania, therefore the future relations between Lithuania and NATO will depend on its attitude towards this substantial organization.  This is a joint project of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies and the Institute for Democratic Politics.

Paper journal “politika.lt

Long-term project  “politika.lt” is a united effort of the Institute of Democratic Politics and the Wilfried Martens Centre to focus on international relations, global security system in a fundamental transformation stage and to stimulate the dialog between political experts and civil society. 

Annual publication “politika.lt” is the paper magazine in english and lithuanian about the most important issues in politics.

Academies for Conservative Thought

Conservative Future – Summer Forum

Annual three-day international forum on the newest, most cutting-edge political ideas and most up-to-date policy developments. This year It brought together intellectual, political, media elites as speakers. It was directed at a broad audience bringing together NGO activists, political activists, students, academics, opinion-makers.

Cooperation of Soft Security and Hard Security measures in Lithuania

The purpose of this project is to educate the society about the importance of ensuring sufficient national capacities for territorial defence and to make sure that citizens are interested in defending their country from any potential aggressor. Secondly, the goal is to highlight the crucial interest in national and regional defence for every Lithuanian and strengthen our ties with our military partners. Thirdly our goal is to look closer at European security architecture and understand its main features.
